MacroEdge was born of a passion for creativity, uniqueness, and a love for macroeconomics as an artform. We’re built to be different, and we wouldn’t have it any other way.

Where It Began​​

Founded in 2023, MacroEdge started as a loose online community of executives trading market data, ideas, concepts, and lessons from their own businesses. As that community and our online presence took shape, our founder, writing under the pen name ‘Don Johnson,’ began sharing his own thoughts and methodologies. He wrote while crisscrossing the country on frequent work trips, and along the way he charted his exit from corporate America by building MacroEdge.

What started on the road has become a one-of-a-kind boutique brand, reaching clients and readers across 130+ countries.

It’s designed to build on our portfolio strategy performance and our hyper-unique thought process. It’s built to capitalize on asymmetric opportunities that we spot before the crowd.
